Traveling for work staying at a hotel nearby I checked the local restaurants I found this one went in. Atmosphere was great service was very friendly. I just went to pick up some food to go and they asked me if I was Traveling. I said yes and with my food, they gave me a free dessert. It was delicious when I arrived back to my hotel all of the food was perfectly cooked perfectly spiced taste amazing It was absolutely perfect. His face should get more than five stars. I have never had food that was perfect like this before especially to go. They even had the fourth thought to put the lamb with the juices in a separate container wrapped so it wouldn’t spill and that kept my rice and veggies unspoiled before I got back to my hotel but man the flavor of this food. I don't really have the time to make reviews nowadays, however, with the type of service given here by Amir, was phenomenal. We came here for the first time on a Friday night for a birthday. They accommodated our table of 7, no problem. Food was delicious, he was extremely patient, answered all of our  questions, and attended us until the end. It closes super late so that was another bonus because we are late eaters. He really created a delightful experience and my family could not stop talking about how great, nice, and professional his service was with us. Thanks again for having us. We love that Fremont has so many great places for Afghan food. If you like kabobs, this is a nice place to bring your family.

We recently dined here around 5:30pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was not crowded. There were only three other parties at the time. There was also ample parking.

Our first dish was the Borani Gadinjon ($8.99), which is eggplant in a garlic, tomato and oil based sauce. It was good, especially when paired with the free bread that accompanies each meal.

We ordered one Chicken Kabob plate ($18.99). The meat was really tender and juicy and had great flavor. We substituted the rice for salad at no charge, making it a much healthier dish.

For an extra $7, you can order the Sultani Kabob ($25.99), which comes with an additional skewer. We ordered two chicken and one beef skewer. The beef, which was tri-tip, was very tender and not dry.

There are many good options for Afghan food in Fremont. It's hard to tell the difference between them. The prices are comparable, and the food is very similar. The service level is comparable between the different establishments, too. Fremont Afghan does have a quieter dining area than some of the others. But we do notice that the size of the chicken pieces is smaller than the to go place near Fremont and Peralta.

My friend and I dined at Fremont Kabob on a weekday afternoon. It's located in a strip mall, and parking at this time of day was easy and plentiful. The restaurant was empty except for one other party, and we chose to sit in the lounge seating area, which features traditional Afghan seating that is low to the ground, casual, and unique--perfect for a date.

The menu offered a wide variety of food, including vegetarian dishes. We enjoyed the chicken kabob, which came with rice and cucumber salad, and the eggplant, which also came with rice. Both were served with Afghan bread. As an appetizer, we ordered the potato Bolani, which was stuffed with potato and leek. It was also good, although slightly greasy. It's important to note that, presumably for religious reasons, they don't serve alcohol.

The restaurant ambiance was peaceful and the service was good. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

One suggestion that might help bring in more lunchtime customers would be to offer lunch specials. We noticed a page in the menu that said "Lunch Specials Coming Soon," so perhaps that's already in the works.
